St. Peter’s Colony

St. Peters Colony is located in southeast Saskatchewan. It was founded by a small group of German Catholic settlers from Russia who decided they needed a new beginning in the late 1800s.

Public History on the Prairies is an initiative of the Public History Program at Brandon University.

Brandon University campuses are located on Treaty 1 and Treaty 2 Lands, traditional homelands of the Dakota, Anishanabek, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dene and Métis peoples. We respect the treaties that were made on these lands.
