The Brandon Zoo, an Attraction of the Past

The Brandon Zoological Gardens was an exciting attraction in Brandon, Manitoba, in the 1950s and 1960s. It was located at what is now known as the Provincial Exhibition Grounds in the city.

Public History on the Prairies is an initiative of the Public History Program at Brandon University.

Brandon University campuses are located on Treaty 1 and Treaty 2 Lands, traditional homelands of the Dakota, Anishanabek, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dene and Métis peoples. We respect the treaties that were made on these lands.
