Ingenium, the national organization that manages Canada’s science and technology museums, has joined forces with the Black Canadian Studies Association to launch an exciting new opportunity—the Black and African Canadian Scientific and Technological Innovations Fellowship.
This fellowship, hosted by the Ingenium Research Institute, invites graduate students to explore the deep connections between Black and African Canadians and the world of science, technology, and innovation. This initiative offers an invaluable platform to highlight the often-overlooked contributions of Black and African Canadians to Canada’s scientific and technological landscape.
Two fellowships—each valued at $5,000—are available for full-time or part-time graduate students enrolled at a Canadian university.
Applications are due by December 31, 2025. Results will be announced by February 2, 2026. Projects may be completed remotely, though in-person participation is available for those based in Ottawa.
